[Caboodle Cards Series] Icebreaker: Adjective Introductions

If you’re a youth development professional, afterschool provider, teacher – or any group leader – who needs more ideas for breaking the ice during your virtual or in-person gatherings, our team building blog series featuring icebreaker activities using our Caboodle Cards is made for you! These activities are designed to be quick, fun and flexible. Try them out when you have a group that needs to warm up a little or get to know each other better.

Adjective Introductions

Time Needed: 10 minutes

Group Size: Any

Materials: Caboodle Cards

Directions: If facilitating virtually, share an image of several Caboodle Cards on your screen and ask participants to find an adjective that describes them and share it with the group. If facilitating in-person, spread your Caboodle Cards out on the table and ask participants to look through the cards and find an adjective that describes them and share it with the group.

*This activity can easily be adapted if you don’t have Caboodle Cards! Whether your group is virtual or in-person, you can provide an assortment of adjectives for participants to choose from. Just show them on your screen or write them on a whiteboard or notecards for participants to see.
