Georgia Teen Institute 2018 is in the books! This year’s theme, Shine On, encouraged youth and adults to find their inner lights and shine bright in what can sometimes seem like a dark world. Armed with an incredible theme, enthusiastic staff, hundreds of eager participants and a dedication to change Georgia communities, there was no stopping us! By the end of each week, everyone knew that not only did they have the ability to shine and make a difference as individuals, but also that we are so much brighter and more impactful when we shine together. The abundance of positivity and light that radiated on Oxford College’s campus throughout each week was truly indicative of something special, that you only find at a place like Georgia Teen Institute, when you bring young leaders together who want to change the world. From Team Meetings to Family Group to General Sessions, the excitement never stopped. Don’t take our word for it; see the magic for yourself in the video below.
Though GTI 2018 may be over, the hard work and fun have just begun for our Youth Action Teams. When the school year begins in just a few short weeks, they will hit the ground running to implement the projects they planned at GTI.
