The connections we have to others are more important than we ever believed. Science tells us that relationships have the power to shape our brains and help us learn, work, and parent better. When we experience tough times, relationships help us heal. With each connection, we develop a healthier stronger community.
Connections Matter is a training designed to engage community members in building caring connections to improve resiliency, prevent childhood trauma, and understand how our interactions with others can support those who have experienced trauma.
Connections Matter Georgia is a collaboration between the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy and Prevent Child Abuse Georgia. The training curriculum is an evidence-informed curriculum. Certificates of attendance documenting hours will be provided after the session upon completion of the course evaluation. Please note: If you miss more than 15 minutes of the training – including being late or leaving early – we will be unable to provide you with certification.
This training requires a minimum of ten participants. If there are not at least ten people registered, it will be canceled. If you are signed up for a training that is canceled, we will reach out to you the day before to let you know and will offer to move your registration to another training date.
This training is being held as a part of the Resilient Gwinnett initiative. If you can’t attend this event, check out the other events we’re offering here or contact us to request a training for your group of five or more.
Registration will close at 5 pm on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
